Community Champion Award

Sean Sullivan Honored as Belchertown Education Foundation 2020 Community Champion

At our December meeting, the Belchertown Education Foundation honored Sean Sullivan with the 2020 Community Champion Award.

Sullivan was recognized with the 2020 Community Champion Award for his community-minded citizenship in support of the Foundation’s mission to enrich the education of students in Belchertown Public Schools. He has provided the Foundation with his technical expertise since its inception in 2017.

“Sean has been instrumental in digitally connecting the Belchertown Education Foundation with our community and donors, which allows us to communicate through electronic newsletters, raise funds and maintain our website and its functionality,” says Board of Directors member Heather St. Germaine.

Technology can be a challenge for small non-profits. Sullivan has tirelessly provided his expertise and guidance to the Foundation for years. He is always there when we need him. He is a humble individual who is deeply invested in the community and works behind the scenes to bring the BEF mission to life.

The Belchertown Education Foundation Board shares its appreciation for Community Champion Sean Sullivan and the time and talent he has contributed to the Foundation over the years as we have grown our outreach and Student Success Grants Program.
Sullivan said when he learned of the honor, “I am thrilled to be able to support and give back to the great educational system that has and continues to shape and mold my children and those of the community.”

The Belchertown Education Foundation (BEF) is an independent, volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to enriching the educational opportunities of students in Belchertown public schools. More at BelchertownEducationFoundation.org.
